Each year around this time, Earth drifts through a cloud of debris left behind by Comet 2P/Encke that’s associated with the Taurid meteor shower active now. And about every seven years, our planet visits a particularly dense pocket of the cosmic detritus that can produce fire in the sky just in time for some Halloween celestial spookiness.

The last time we got this Taurid swarm was 2015, so we’re due for another in 2022.

These fireballs aren’t anything to worry about. They’re basically oversized shooting stars, typically pebble- to softball-size pieces of space stuff that impact our planet and burn up in a sometimes spectacular fashion as they sizzle through our upper atmosphere.

The peak of Taurid activity this year is set for Nov. 5, but it could be worth venturing out and gazing skyward as long as you can any evening for a week on either side of that date. So when you’re out trick-or-treating on Oct. 31, keep one eye peeled for some mischievous meteors above.

Pokemon Go has a slew of events lined up for this month, including two Community Days. The first takes place today, Nov. 5, and offers players another chance to catch the dragon Pokemon Dratini, which was previously featured during the February 2018 Community Day. Not only that, but a mysterious new Pokemon from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is also appearing in the game following today’s event.

When is November’s Community Day Classic?

The Dratini Community Day rerun takes place Saturday, Nov. 5. The event will run for only three hours, from 2 pm to 5 pm local time.

Featured Pokemon: Dratini

As mentioned, the star of Pokemon Go’s next Community Day Classic is Dratini, which was previously featured during one of the game’s first Community Day events, back in 2018.

Throughout the event, Dratini will appear in the wild much more frequently than normal, giving you more opportunities to catch the rare dragon Pokemon. You’ll also have an increased chance of encountering a shiny Dratini.

Event move: Draco Meteor

Just as during the original Dratini Community Day, the dragon Pokemon can learn an event-exclusive move during November’s rerun event. If you evolve Dragonair (Dratini’s first evolved form) into Dragonite before 7 pm local time on the day of the event, it’ll learn the dragon-type Charged Attack Draco Meteor upon evolving.

Huawei plans to launch a new Pocket S flip phone next week, continuing its clamshell-style foldable phone line that debuted last year with the P50 Pocket.

The Beijing-based company posted a video on Monday, teasing a Nov. 2 launch date for the Huawei Pocket S as well as the available colors. It hints that the Pocket S will be available in six colors, with each letter of the word “pocket” appearing in a different hue. That means we’ll likely see the Pocket S available in black, pink, blue, yellow, white and green.

The P50 Pocket, launched last year, is Huawei’s answer to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip series, with a clamshell design that folds down into a small square. It looks similar to Samsung’s phone but it has two large circles on the outside, one with a triple-camera unit and the other with an external display that shows the time and incoming notifications.
