A new show is reportedly in development for Disney Plus that will center on The Vision, the android superhero and MCU Avenger played by Paul Bettany, and it picks up where he left off at the end of the WandaVision series.

If you’ve seen WandaVision or the Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness film that came out earlier this year, that means only one thing — but if you haven’t, watch out for spoilers for both below.

The new series, called Vision Quest, isn’t far along in development — it’ll open its writers room next week, according to a report Friday by Deadline, which cited unidentified sourcesso it’s unclear when the series would be released among Marvel’s slate of shows and films. The new show will focus on the version of the android reconstructed from the old Vision killed at the end of Avengers: Infinity War.

Last we saw of him, the white-colored and personality-less Vision seen at the end of WandaVision had ventured out for some self-discovery, and Vision Quest will reportedly see him trying to regain his memories and sense of humanity.

Jac Schaeffer — creator, writer and executive producer of WandaVision — will reportedly helm the Vision Quest. He’s already overseeing the first show’s other spinoff, Agatha: House of Harknesswhich follows the titular character played by Kathryn Hahn, who caused such trouble for Wanda in WandaVision.

There’s even suspicion that Wanda herself, played by Elizabeth Olsen, will show up in Vision Quest.

Rode audio has a new product line for gamers and streamers

Rod has announced a new division dedicated to audio equipment designed to serve the needs of the gaming and streaming community. The Australian audio company has named this new sub-brand “Rode X,” and the lineup will launch with three products: two new microphones and a virtual mixing solution called Unify designed for streaming and gaming.

The Unify software allows users to route and mix up to four USB microphones and up to six virtual audio sources (including games, chat, music, and browser applications) through a single interface. The software can remove background noise and otherwise improve the quality of your audio with the help of compressors, noise gates, and high-pass filters.

All subscriptions will be billed in Australian dollars and may not be available in all territories.

Elon Musk starts changing Twitter as its new owner

Less than 24 hours after completing his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter, Elon Musk decided to change its homepage.

He requested that logged out users visiting Twitter.com be redirected to the Explore page that shows trending tweets and news stories, according to employees familiar with the matter who requested anonymity to speak without the company’s permission. Before, visiting Twitter’s homepage while logged out showed only a sign-up form, encouraging the creation of an account to view tweets. Musk’s directive, which was implemented late Friday, required VP involvement to override a code freeze put in place to prevent rogue staffers from making changes during the takeover process.

Though Musk didn’t widely articulate a reason for the change, to the employees who observed it, the message was clear: no more sacred cows. Inside the old Twitter, such a decision would have been fought over between teams for weeks. But this was the new Twitter. As a former executive told me: “That’s definitely one way to make it clear you’re in charge now.”

Changing Twitter’s homepage is an example of how Musk, less than three days into his reign as “Chief Twit,” has started to swiftly change the company from the inside out. Even as he is preparing to lay off a significant portion of employees in the coming days, he has fast-tracked changes to Twitter itself, such as ordering that its paid subscription feature, Super Follows, be renamed to “Subscriptions”

On Thursday, the American League’s top seed went up 2-0 in the series, once again thanks to Alvarez. Today the Mariners return home looking to avoid elimination, with Game 3 set for 4:07 pm ET (3:07 pm CT, 1:07 pm PT) on TBS.

Apple has upgraded its back-to-school targeted MacBook Air with a new M2 chips and a better camera and display. There are new iPhones. Apple’s iPad lineup, however, is still due for a 2022 upgrade. The midrange iPad Air got an M1 chip back in the spring, but the entry-level iPad and the iPad Pro should be next on deck, along with new M2 MacBook Pros.

The entry-level iPad could get a significant upgrade, based on the latest reports from Mark Gurman and 9to5Mac. The current entry-level ninth-gen iPad still has a Lightning port and an original circular Touch ID home button, but the design might finally change to match the iPad Mini, iPad Air and iPad Pro models.
