Across the two decades since Harry Potter movies first hit cinemas, the Potterverse has increasing become a mixed bag (for more reasons than one).

The most recent chapters from the Fantastic Beasts movie series, based on a 2001 guide book about magical creatures in the Potterverse, have never really found their way. Despite a decently charming introduction in 2016’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the next two entries — The Crimes of Grindelwald and The Secrets of Dumbledore — have both failed to capture the old magic.

11. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018)

JK Rowling popped her screenwriting cherry with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, but her follow-up to that magical prequel seemed less experienced than the first. A big edit might have cut out the dense detail and plotting that seemed better placed within the pages of a book. It’s the lowest ranked Harry Potter movie of them all, not just here, but on Metacritic (the only one that matters), with a measly 52%. The biggest criticism? Sorry, I zoned out too much thinking about this movie to answer that question.

10. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022)

The third Fantastic Beasts flick might be a slight improvement over its predecessor, but that isn’t saying much. The Secrets of Dumbledore

The Apple Watch has never been known for having long battery life. Case in point: Apple never budgeted from the 18-hour battery life estimate until it launched the Apple Watch Ultra. But with watchOS 9, the company has introduced a new Low Power Mode to help extend the time between charges.

Previously, the Apple Watch had a Power Reserve mode, which shut off any functions aside from your ability to tell time and turned your smartwatch into a “dumb” one until you could get it onto a charger. This new mode is different — it’s more like the iPhone’s Low Power Mode. When enabled, you’ll still be able to use your Apple Watch, but certain power-hungry features will be turned off or limited to conserve the battery.

On the Apple Watch, Low Power Mode disables the always-on display and limits sensor readings like background heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring. (You should be aware it also disables irregular heart rhythm notifications, as well as high and low heart rate notifications.)

Low Power Mode also curves LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity. While you’ll still be able to send messages or make calls from your watch, it’ll only fetch notifications about once an hour. As a result, you might miss timely texts and emergency alerts.

However, if you’re in the middle of a workout, don’t worry — heart rate and GPS will be unaffected. Another option that reduces heart rate and GPS sampling is also in the works but is currently unavailable.

Starlink is about to feel a little more like other ISPs, with a new data policy that mimics Anytime Minutes from the bad old days of highly restricted cellphone service. The satellite internet division of SpaceX will start throttling home internet for customers who use more than 1TB of Priority Access data per month during peak hours beginning in December. The change is being rolled out as part of a new “Fair Use Policy” in the US and Canada.

Residential customers will now start each monthly billing cycle with an allocation of “Priority Access” data that tracks what you’re using from 7AM in the morning until 11PM at night. If you surpass that 1TB cap, which Starlink says less than 10 percent of users currently do, you’ll be moved to “Basic Access” data, or deprioritized data during heavy network congestion, for the rest of your billing cycle.

If you want to buy more Priority Access data, you can, at the cost of 25 cents per GB, and any data used between 11PM and 7AM doesn’t count towards your Priority Access tally. (You may want to download new Call of Duty updates or schedule device backups to run while everyone’s asleep, for example). RV and Portability satellite internet customers can’t get Priority Access at all, while there are different brackets for anyone with a Business account or who’s using Starlink at sea.
