The last slot still up for grabs in the 2022 MLB playoffs will go to the winner of today’s game between the New York Yankees and the Cleveland Guardians. The Yankees fended off elimination in Game 4, thanks for strong pitching by Gerrit Cole and another home run by Harrison Bader, his third of the series. For Game 5 in the Bronx, the Yankees will send Jameson Taillon to the mound and the Guardians will counter with Aaron Civale — neither of whom has started a postseason game yet. Game 5 is scheduled for 7 pm ET (4:07 pm PT) on Monday on TBS.

What’s the schedule for the Yankees-Guardians series?
The Guardians beat the Tampa Bay Rays in their wild card series to advance to the Division Series against the Yankees. The Yankees own the second-best record in the American League, earning the right to skip the wild card round as well as getting home-field advantage in the five-game Division Series. The winner advances to the American League Championship Series to play the Houston Astros, who swept their Division Series against the Mariners.
